WHO WE ARE

Derry's Best Kept Secret

Set up in 1992, we are a not for profit organisation designed to provide access to outdoor activities, training and education. Our 100-acre site is host to three fresh water lakes, mixed woodland, hedgerows, wildflower meadows, picnic areas, willow dome hides and activity centre.

We offer a wide range of outdoor activities including:

- Ice berg and inflatable assault course on water
- Aqua Zorbing
- Canoeing and pier jump
- Paddle boarding
- Kayaking
- Raft building
- Team building games
- Angling
- Orienteering
- Treasure hunt
- Paintball
- Nature trail
- Environmental education programme 'Nature's Classroom'

- 'Go for a Dander' Walking Group for people aged 60+
- Free wildlife events all year round
- Halloween, Christmas, Easter and Summer events

- Free Best Practice Visits arranged for community and corporate groups. Topics include Renewable Energy, Environmental Education, Biodiversity and Green Infrastructure.


We provide recreation, training, education and employment opportunities for people of all ages. We also run a wide range of environmental, health, volunteering and walking projects throughout the year thanks to funding from The National Lottery Communities Fund, WHSCT, Derry City and Strabane District Council, Live Here Love Here, Halifax Foundation and T:buc.

Cafe is also on site so you can enjoy a delicious meal overlooking the city.
