Read on to find answers to some frequently asked questions about our activities, volunteering opportunities and facilities at Creggan Country Park. If you still have questions feel free to contact us for more information.

WHAT DO YOU PROVIDE FOR WATER BASED ACTIVITIES

We provide:

- Wetsuit

- Buoyancy aid

- Helmet

- Equipment for activities

- Instructors


Activities take place in a controlled fresh water environment.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING WITH ME?

For water based activities be sure to bring:

- Towels

- Shorts/tshirt to wear under wet suit

- Shower gear

- Extra socks

- Old pair of trainers

- Medication (if applicable)

- Sunscreen

For land based activities:

- Comfortable clothing such as a tracksuit

- Warm waterproof coat

- Comfortable footwear such as trainers

You can bring your own snacks and are free use our outdoor picnic areas or there is a cafe on site if you fancy a treat.

WHAT AGE DO YOU HAVE TO BE?

Water based activities are suitable for ages 4+ and participants should be water confident (non swimmers can take part as long as they feel confident with an instructor present). Our Wheelyboat is suitable for all ages and can accomodate prams and wheelchairs. Paintball is only suitable for participants aged 12+

HOW DO I BECOME A VOLUNTEER?

We have volunteering and work placement opportunities to suit all abilities and interests for people aged 14+.  To request a volunteer application pack please email karen.healy@creggancountrypark.com. Our Environmental Officer will then be in contact with you directly to arrange an informal interview. Successful applicants will take part in an induction and training day before volunteering commences.
