COMMUNITY FUN DAY SUCCESS

Families made the most of the sunshine and enjoyed an amazing free day of activities on Monday 22nd April 2019. Over 1500 people came together and took part in canoeing, pier jump, zorbing, water slides, archery, nature trails, treasure hunt, bouncy castles and a free BBQ. Huge thank you to St Mary's Youth Club, Pennyburn Youth Club, Long Tower Youth Club, Creggan Neighbourhood Partnership, Adventure Sports North West, Triax Neighbourhood Partnership and all the volunteers for organising such a fantastic day.
GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE

A fantastic day at the Derry City & Strabane District Council #GIConf19 showcasing ways councils, statutory organisations, community sector and public can work together to combat climate change, biodiversity loss and promote healthy active communities through greenways, outdoor recreation, public engagement and awareness.
We are honoured to be a partner in the council's Green Infrastructure Stakeholder Group this past year and will be using our experience and knowledge going forward to promote and deliver #ClimateAction #Biodiversity #OutdoorRecreation #Volunteering #EnvironmentalEducation #ForestSchool. Together they will bring health, social, education, training, economic and environmental benefits to our city.
